The sensor
is made of AISI 316L stainless steel. Steel is used instead of nickel-plated brass.
Stainless steel has been chosen because it is
suitable for all working conditions, including
those where the water is particularly aggressive
(acid PH, high conductivity) which has caused
problems with the sensors made of nickel-plated
brass previously used (prior to 2015).
